How to lighten your hair with Lemon Juice

This works the best if you are blonde, and want some natural looking highlights. (the lighter your hair is, the better it works) Even though my hair is light brown, it doesn't make that much of a difference.

Step one: Work the lemon juice into your hair. Make sure to work it into your part area, the top of your head, your actual hair, hair lines, and crown areas.

Step two: Leave the lemon juice in your hair while you are outside for no longer than 1 hour. Rinse the lemon juice out of your hair.

Step three: Repeat the process several times, and being in the sun as much as possible will help you notice a change.

Helpful Hints:

  • Lemon Juice drys out your hair! Remember to condition the night of so your hair stays nice and healthy!
  • Natural juice from the lemon works best.

If you have any more questions on lightening your hair with lemon juice, please leave me a comment. I will be more than happy to answer!

Hi, sorry for getting back to you so late! As you can see I haven't been bloggin' much lately. To answer your question, YES store bought cooking lemon juice should work. I have never tried that, but I don't know why it would't work.
